Do you eat breakfast everyday? Many people wake up feeling tired and immediately reach for a cup of coffee. While coffee has it's warm, delicious place, we need healthy, nourishing foods to fuel our bodies and minds. Breakfast is essential for:

  • Starting our metabolism
  • Providing energy to the body
  • Gaining mental clarity
  • Preventing cravings
  • Setting a healthy tone for the day

On my plate above, I have organic whole grain toast with avocado, cayenne, tomato and egg/mixed greens with olive oil & goat cheese/ blood orange. {Note there is a little cinnamon coffee on the side ;) } If you don't have time to cook a full breakfast, try something simple like:

  • Yogurt with fruit and granola
  • Apple or banana with toast and nut butter
  • Avocado toast topped with egg, tomato, spinach etc.
  • Smoothie made from natural, unprocessed ingredients (avoid juices and flavored powders)
  • Eggs scrambled with veggies and cheese

Starting your day with a good breakfast can make a huge difference in your energy and productivity levels. It also gives you a chance to connect with yourself and start your day with the intention to make healthy & positive choices. Give breakfast a try and see how it feels to be fueled by food!
